About Me

About Me

Hi

I have been riding mountain bikes for a few years and have ridden all over the UK and also Spain and the Alps. Many mountain bikers enjoy trail centres such as Bike Park Wales or Coed y Brenin or Cwmcarn (One of our closest here in Wiltshire) and I do too.

However, I am happiest in the mountains or on a hill. I have explored and been guided by others in places such as the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains, Snowdonia, Yorkshire Dales, Shropshire Hills, the Peak District and the Lake District.

As well as riding in these stunning places I also like to seek out other places when ever possible.

I write a mountain biking blog, take lots of photos and the odd video so if its OK with you you may feature in some of my social media.

I've been planning and leading rides for my local mountain bike for a few years too and have great feedback and response to those rides. Here are a few I have done for MB Swindon:

Blaina Gwent Valley Ride

Monmouth and the Wye Valley

My Training

My British Cycling training was held over 2 days in the Black Mountains with "Windy" of Wye MTB.  Wye MTB offer BC training and guided rides around Monmouthshire, Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley.

My assessment was completed in Snowdonia by Wheelie Cool MTB. Al Seaton is one of British Cycling's most experienced guides and trainers and this year has been taking British Cycling training to mountain leaders in the Himalayas

Finally, my outdoor first aid certificate was gained while under the watchful eye and careful assessment of Martin Sweeney of Borderlands Outdoor.
